The PBT pipe facing machine,
HIRE OR SALES
The pipe facing machine was developed to machine the complex bevel required by the automatic welding process. The machine is used to bevel the pipe to reduce metal volume, therefore reducing welding time.
The facing machine consists of a rotating faceplate with radial arms what hold the cutting tools with interchangeable tungsten carbide tips.
You can set the tools for a wide range of bevels, the operator controls the feed of the faceplate until the bevel is cut. The quality of the operator will determine the speed of the cut.
Transitions, Counter-bores, and Mitred cuts can be done with the facing machine, this will require a skilled technician to execute the operation.
The facing machine requires a hydraulic power unit (HPU) this is skid mounted and consists of a hydraulic motor, hydraulic hoses transfer the power to run the facing machine.
Bevelling machines have been used all over the world and cut millions of bevels on pipe ranging from 8” to 56” in diameter. Please contact us for details on our hire stock .
